Summer Outfit for Grand-Daughter

Hello everyone, This week I'm going to be working on  a few summer outfits for the Grand-Daughter she is so little :) it wont take long to make her a few for the summer. To start with I'm going to be working on a McCalls Easy stitch'n Save Pattern M6305 its a cute top and shorts, you can also make a dress and pants. I love the top and shorts , thought it was pretty darn cute for her. Here is the fabric and notations I am working with for this outfit . So check back in a few day's and I will have the finished Project posted.

Well its been more then a few days lol its been about a week or so, life got ahead of me and been busy busy . How ever, I did get her out fit done, with a few issues along the way :(.  I had to change the fabric and appliques due to not having enough * slaps head* when i bought the fabric in original post photo, it was from those wonderful remants bins and I must of had one of those good old memory issues and didn't realize that it wasn't enough fabric , until i went to cut the pieces out of fabric . I got them all cut out and realized on some of them it was two on fold etc. well crap I thought.

So , I had to go get different fabric, talk about a mad dash to the fabric department , in pj's at 9 pm so i found a cute fabric and summery . So with this issue it did turn out pretty darn cute, can't wait to see it on her.

One Yard Contest My Finished Piece

Here it is my finished Piece for the contest its a sundress using the book One Yard Wonders By Rebecca Yaker.
The fabric that I used has buttons on it different shapes, sizes and colors I try to get a closer picture of the fabric so I am not to sure how well you can see what is on it. But this dress was fun to make and once I got started didn't take me but 2 1/2 hours tops to finish it. I think the only problem I have is I  am not chesty enough for this dress its made for someone who is busty at the top or have a little more then I got LOL so to speak :) other wise its really comfy and like i said wasn't hard to make at all  I  think next time i will pick a different fabric and try to do some alterations in the bust area. now its  time to turn this lovely dress into the contest :p

The fabric I picked is 100% Cotton and the print is Buttons different shapes , colors, sizes, along with using some tan color bias tape or white not sure what one I will use just yet.

I was meaning to start this project a week ago lol when I entered the contest but like life does to us all it got away from me for a few days, however I'm back on the spool and have the peddle to the floor. I did get the pattern pieces cut out, still have to transfer markings yet. Then its off to the sewing machine.

After this sundress is finshed I am going to make a romper dress for my Grand Daughter :) and enter both these garments into the contest. So check back in a day or so if you wish and there should be pictures of the finished project.
